Laser Assisted Periodontal Therapy
with the LANAP® Protocol

The LANAP™ Procedure LASER ASSISTED NEW ATTACHMENT PROCEDURE The LANAP® Protocol is a Laser-based approach to treating gum disease using an Nd:YAG free running laser which requires specific knowledge, skills, and training. We use LANAP® because of its patented protocol which removes only the diseased tissue without removing the healthy tissue. In addition, it maintains the height of the gum tissue around the
teeth, and obtains closure of the periodontal pocket while allowing healing to take place.

To you, the patient, this means less tissue removed, less pain, almost no post-operative discomfort, and less recovery time compared to conventional periodontal surgery.

Controlling periodontal disease makes it possible to save more teeth that otherwise may be lost.

TREATMENT PROCEDURE

D. Laser Finishes cleaning the pocket and aids in
sealing the pocket closed to prevent bacterial
germs from entering.
E. Healing of gums to clean root surface occurs.
F. Bite is adjusted and trauma is reduced.
G. Healing with bone regeneration occurs.
